ICO

If you right click on a folder icon, and select "properties," the properties menu comes up. The menu has three tabs at the top. "General," "Sharing," and "Customize." Under "Customize," You'll find a button that says "Change Icon..." It will give you a large list of icons to choose from.

With this, you can change your icons to any other icon they have listed. How cool is that?

I did this with a couple of my folders. It was cool. But I wanted more options then they gave me.

So I found this site. It's full of .ICO image files. ico's have several sizes of images, all in one image. So no matter what size you tell it you want it, it'll change size.

Just download whatever image you want, and load it from the "browse" option in the "customize icon..." window.

It rocks. It really does.

Decisions, Decisions,

It's not good to make the wrong decision. Making the wrong decision would be a mistake. That is, after all, the definition of the wrong decision.

Is it ever good to make the wrong decision? No! That is also part of the definition of the wrong decision.

So should we be sure that people never make the wrong decision? No.

WHAT?

Freedom is the freedom to make the wrong decision. If we take the freedom to make the wrong decision away, we take away their freedom. How is there any choice if the only choice is already made for you?

Is Freedom even a good thing then? After all, if freedom means making poor choices, why should anyone be free. Why should anyone WANT to be free?

First of all, I want to make sure we all understand that that is a very good question. Don't just blindly accept the notion that freedom is always a good thing, and to simply dismiss anyone who ever says that it might not.

Even though they are wrong to say that freedom is bad, we still need to know why freedom is good. We need to understand it ourselves. What is the absolute? What makes it good? Why should we care?

Engage bad ideas. Not for the benefit of the one who is wrong, but for your own benefit.

Know what you believe.

Why is it good to be free to make the wrong decision? Because if you don't make the decision, someone else is. A government bureaucrat most likely. A Bureaucrat who don't know you, doesn't know what you want or need.

Who knows you better than you? (Besides your family that is.)

All of this in short,

Don't save people from themselves. Freedom is the freedom to make mistakes.

You can help them after they've fallen, but don't control their life to prevent them from falling in the first place.

I was gonna write about something serious, but I ran across this video, and I had to share. How can someone sing on such a large stage, and be such a terrible singer?

Browsing Blogger profiles is rather amusing. I clicked on the interest of "justice," and got some interesting results. Namely, this guy. What is up with his list of interest? It's gotta' be some sort of joke.

I liked her interest list. Namely, the fact she had mercy and justice right next to each other. Throw in coffee and bicycles? Just cool.

I wonder what my interest list says?

In Communist China there isn't one timezone for the people, there is one people for the timezone!

February 19th

Today is Wisconsin Primaries.

I voted for Hilary.

Way I see it McCain has already won, so I have a choice between a McCain/Hilary race or a McCain/Obama race.

So It's more Anti-Obama, than Pro-Hilary.

And if McCain doesn't win the primaries, well that's good. Because ANYBODY would be better than McCain. (But Huckabee isn't going anywhere.)

This is a little odd.

When I first saw this video, I knew what it was about. But only because I was told. I honestly don't think I would have gotten it at ALL if I wasn't already aware.

What do you think it's about? Please, do tell. There are a few clues, but not many.
